About Us

Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) is an association of Rotary members, clubs and districts. It is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organisation with 1.2 million members who are business professionals and community leaders in over 200 countries and geographical areas.

Rotary clubs are based in local communities across the world with their members meeting on a regular basis for fun and friendship, and to plan projects that will benefit the lives of others.

The Rotary Club of Brighton is part of Rotary District 1145 and is the senior club in this part of SE England, celebrating its centenary on 8th April 2013. It maintains a full programme of meetings and fund-raising and social events for the benefit of its members, the local community and Rotarys’ international programmes.

The Rotary Club of Brighton is registered with the UK Charity Commission as ROTARY CLUB OF BRIGHTON CHARITABLE TRUST, Charity No. 803147.

The club maintains strong links with the Local Authority, local schools in both the public and private sectors and innumerable community projects working for the benefit of many aspects of need throughout the City.

A comprehensive list of currently-planned fund-raising and social events can be found on the Programme of Events page. A list of our regular Club meetings and guest speakers can be found on the Where and When We Meet page.

Visitors are most welcome at any of our published meetings, with or without prior notice. The Club Secretary will always be delighted to explain the role and work of the club and can be contacted by email using the form on the Contact Us page.
